This cupboard was inspired by a piece originally made in Lincoln county in Upper Canada during the early 19th century.  It relates closely to 18th century Pennsylvania pieces.  The close relationship was a result of a number of Germans from Pennsylvania settling in Upper Canada during the late 18th century.
